We present to you this new format — the logbook of Paatch'life — where you will discover all the secrets of these extraordinary stays that create links. For this first opus, we collected the testimony of Marie, Paach'Maker at the Villa Les Pieds Rouges unto Hossegor in June.

What motivated you to be Paatch'Maker in Hossegor last month?

What comes first is the sincere and authentic encounter with people we would probably never have met without this coliving! Everyone has their own personality and it's great to be able to get to know each other better during the week, whether by working side by side or during the activities offered. We leave really enriched personally and professionally from our discussions in all simplicity. The most valuable thing is that we know that often these ties continue to be strengthened after the stay.

There was also the pleasure of changing the work environment. We had both the chance to discover a great new place close to the ocean and in addition we can change the place where we work according to what we want. We can vary between the terrace, the living room, our rooms and that's still a real luxury!

Then, it allows you to discover and learn new activities or new sports that you would probably not have done alone. With several people in Paatch'life we can dare! In Hossegor we were able to introduce Léo to surf, do yoga and go collect rubbish together on the beach.

Finally, with all the tools offered by Paatch to guide us in organizing and not paying for our stay as a Paatch'Maker, there is no reason not to enjoy this awesome status in the community!

What did it bring you?

Perhaps the richest thing is the opportunity to try to live in community. Of course it requires adaptation but you can really benefit from that! We are all really different but we can be amazed at what each one is. With some we were able to recreate a routine with activities that we programmed together, a good way to get back to a healthy rhythm.

And then in Paatch'Life, you learn to develop your kindness, to develop your sense of service, to accept to learn from others. And that's still precious!

What were the highlights of the week?

The first highlight is always the start of the week, when you arrive. It is the moment when we discover the place, where we welcome the Paatchers as we go! We're full of new things all at once.

Then, there are all these discussions, these endless debates that you can have a drink in your hand as if you were peeling vegetables while preparing dinner with your partner. Moreover, an important point, in Paatch'life we discover real culinary talents!

This week there was the first surfing trip for Leo who loved it. We are super happy to have taken him on the adventure!

In short, Hossegor was great and we can't wait to go back!
