Each week, we publish a portrait of someone who plays Paatch. It's a very short format that talks about remote working habits and Paatch's experience! Paatchers come from different backgrounds, from different professions, from different cities and have different statuses (entrepreneurs, employees or freelancers) but they share the same credo of free, productive and friendly teleworking.

This week, we present to you Marine.

Marine, what do you do for a living?

I founded Madame Pitch. I train entrepreneurs and people who have to speak in public in the art of a good pitch.

Where (TV) do you work from most often? How often remotely?

I work in Lille, at home. I also like to go to residential coworking 2 to 3 times a year.

What advantages do you see in teleworking?

It allows me to change my mind and above all, meet other people working from home!

What are the disadvantages? What do you do to avoid them?

When I leave Lille I cannot physically be with my clients to train them so that limits my activity to the part that I can do by video.

I avoid having an important video (the kind where I host a webinar with several people in front of me) because I have had WiFi problems several times while working from home.

What are your 2-3 tips for someone starting to work from home?

I am answering specifically for the fact of teleworking from home: give it a try! You have to experience it to understand all the contributions of this type of work organization.

Personally, I allow myself to work at the hours that suit me: sometimes late at night or on Sundays, so as not to work when the energy is not there or when I need to do sports.

What is your best memory when you participated in a Paatch?

There are so many... The discovery of Cap Ferret, the discovery of the Code Name and the evening in the Morzine chalet.
